General

Titan G4 is a "news" world machine in pipe production of huge diameters for gravitation and low-pressure applications. Titan G4 has a pipe production capacity in the range of 1500-4000 mm. Titan G4 is transportable to any chosen location and is able to produce at the working site.

The production technology has been used for more than 5 decades around the globe. The technology is recognized in the Western world as having many advantages of high angular stiffness versus low weight. This alternative of production constitutes significant competition in the large-diameter piping market.

 

Steel Reinforced Corrugated Pipe coated with polyethylene (PE) layers, internal and external. The PE has a high level of surface bonding to the steel strips, thus enabling the bended profile to be performed in a cold forming waveform acting as the main supporting structure of the pipe.

Production using this hybrid technology combines polyethylene and steel resulting in steel imparting the strength and polyethylene coating imparting the protective layer and the "Wet Diameter” against corrosion and abrasion.

The combination of these two materials with the profile shape bring high ring stiffens SN8 up to SN16 and the corrosion resistance of the steel.

Most of the large diameter that is produced with other technologies for underground applications are less than SN8.

The high ring stiffens eliminates the need to protect the pipe with concrete layer in low coverage. The pipe weight is less then 3% of the concrete pipe with equivalent diameter and therefore beneficial to the environment by reducing the time usage of heavy vehicles with huge CO2 contamination.

The production of the pipes is based upon US standards ASTM 2435 and other local european certification (QB, UNI…). During the year 2022 a new international standard is expected to be published for these kinds of pipes (ISO 23627).

Profile

In the base configuration the Titan G4 is capable of producing pipes with an omega profile. There are 3 standard heights which are adapted to each diameter and annular stiffness. The omega height change is mechanized, and no manual work is required, the height of the profile is set automatically according to the width of the steel strip.

Also, the gap between the forging rollers is set in accordance with the thickness of the steel strip which is defined in the production method.

Changing the pipe profile is done automatically, so there is no need for advance preparation.
