In a period of skyrocketing transportation prices, the transportation of pipelines or/and containers in large volumes is not economical. Titan G4 brings refreshing news in the industrial machines of mega pipes production.
The Titan G4’s width is only 3.4 meters which makes it transportable to any customer's location without the need for special transportation resources. Titan G4 is a unique system, made of several building blocks which can be folded and collapsed in order to minimize the general width to 3.4 meter.
The system is easily folded by the control unit with minor external support. Each subsystem has its own shock absorber system that can meet transportation vibration.
The Shock and vibration dumping design for military application is according to MIL-STD-810. This protects the system and each subsystem from any damage during transportation.
A significant advantage of Titan G4 is the significant reduction in stop times. Production diameter changes can be performed from a touch screen. No tools or skilled workers are needed.
The diameters can be produced in various ranges between 1500mm to 4000mm. There are pre-defined plans for a wide range of piping by diameters and annular rigidity. The pre-defined diameter can be defined in advance as per customer specification. Additional to that, each parameter can be manually modified per production batch.
In general, the pre-defined programs affected several subsystems which are controlled, and function based on a matrix of parameters that update the production process based on these parameters.
An additional advantage of Titan G4 is a minimum waste of time during the set-up and material, the disposal of the pipes is less than 1 meter each production batch or pipes diameter modification.
Titan G4 vs other similar gravitation pipe production machines do not require special tools or mandrils for each pipe’s diameter. For example, production of pipes according to the imperial system or unique diameter per velocity calculation is as simple as replacing a TV channel.
Cold forming is the process of forging metals at near room temperatures, the profile strips are formed at high speed and pressure by steel forming wheels. The cold forming of the metal strip increases the hardness, yield, and tensile strengths.
With Titan G4 the forming wheel system is designed for a vast range of profile heights, meaning the “flower” method is eccentric and no concentric as most of the forming wheels perform.
The wave form can be produced with a range between 0.5 mm up to 4.0 mm thickness. Titan G4 automatically adapts the forming wheels height according to the strip thickness without any special effort or any tool. The gap modification is controlled by the main Communication & Control system.
Titan G4 is a "learning machine" which means that it corrects the properties during production and in accordance with the environmental conditions, there is also an information database which is based on past production plans and is used for future production batches. Each sub system verifies during the production process that the early process is produced correctly and updates the production parameter accordingly.
The standard pipes production length that Titan G4 can produce is up to 12 meter in one unit, more than that required special adaptation per customers requirement.
Cutting the pipe can be at any point along the 12-meter unit and can be defined in advance. An additional feature is cutting at different lengths per project without any manual interference.
Thanks to the spiral external ribs there is an option of cutting the pipes in two configurations. The first configuration is the most popular, cutting in perpendicular to pipe axis.
The second cutting option is cutting in the rib’s valley so minimum metal is exposed during the cutting process, this kind of cutting is more convenient during installing and welding on site. The cutting system of Titan G4 performs the cutting with Bi-Metal blades.
The Extruders and the raw material dosage are not part of Titan G4. The control system is open for any interface, getting data from these external components and controlling them through the internal network system.
Titan G4 has an option to produce pipes integrated with connection spigot embedded on the pipes edges, the sub system is external to the Titan G4 and can meet only low-pressure connections.
Each sub system is designed as a separate unit. Most of the critical units have redundancy in the power units, these parameters reduce the critical failure time.
All the motors and critical units are controlled by the main Communication & Controls system which count and calculate the working hours, so an in advance notification transfer to the maintenance department is sent for preliminary treatment.
Titan G4 is fully equipped with sensors and digital measurement tools and applications so there is a compensation method during the production process.
